INGREDIENTS

  • 250 g of flour
  • 240 g of sugar
  • 3 eggs at room temperature
  • 90 ml corn oil
  • 125 ml of water
  • 2 organic lemons (grated peel)
  • 1 sachet of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • powdered sugar

PROCEDURE

  • Beat the eggs with the sugar and the flavourings (vanilla and grated lemon) until the mixture is light and frothy.
  • Gradually add the oil and water, alternating them.
  • Finally, add the sifted flour and yeast, always using the whisk but at low speed.
  • Butter and flour the pan.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold.
  • Bake at 180° for 45/50 minutes (depends on the oven, do the toothpick test, and on the height of your mold).
  • Let it cool, turn it out and sprinkle with icing sugar.
