Stelle filanti al forno

INGREDIENTS

  • 350 g of 00 flour
  • 70 g of granulated sugar
  • 40 g of butter at room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sunflower seed oil
  • a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a sachet of vanilla
  • food coloring
  • powdered sugar

PROCEDURE

  • In a bowl, mix the sugar with the flour.
  • Add the butter in cubes, the eggs, the vanilla, the oil and start kneading.
  • Divide the dough into different bowls depending on the number of colors you want to make (I made 5).
  • Add the food coloring and mix well by kneading. Wrap each dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  • You can of course prepare them the day before cooking.
  • Take the dough and use the pasta machine to roll out a sheet of pasta to then pass through the tagliatelle die. Or use the rolling pin to roll out the dough and the wheel to obtain strips of equal size.
  • Wrap the strips around the cannoli molds, like these. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a fan oven at 180 ° for about 7/8 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool and delicately remove the shooting stars.
  • Sprinkle with icing sugar and enjoy.
  • I recommend wrapping each mold with 2 separate strips, it will be easier to remove them. They are stored in a tin box.
  • If you use water-soluble powdered food colorings, you can mix them with the flour at the beginning of the preparation.
