Apple pie (without weighing)

Torta di mele (senza pesare)

INGREDIENTS

  • 4/5 apples
  • 1 pot of whole yogurt (1 pot = 125 g)
  • 2 jars of sugar
  • 3 jars of 00 flour
  • 1 sachet of baking powder (16 g)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 jar of rice oil or corn oil
  • Brown sugar to taste
  • Powdered sugar to taste

PROCEDURE

(Made with a 20 cm mould)

  • Mix eggs, salt and yogurt.
  • Add sugar, vanilla, oil.
  • Incorporate the sifted flour and yeast.
  • Peel and slice the apples (keep 1 apple for the top) and pour into the mixture, mixing (if you are quick, you don't need to wet them with lemon juice)
  • Fill the mold lined with baking paper.
  • Spread unpeeled apple slices over the surface. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
  • Bake at 180° for about 50 minutes (do the toothpick test!):
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with icing sugar.
